Man of La Mancha

MAN OF LA MANCHA is a beautifully woven tapestry story that takes place in an unlikely setting - a dungeon in Seville Spain. But, our minds and our hearts transport us beyond prison walls with our unlikely heroes, a magnificent musical score and the theme of the human need to survive and dream. All of the prisoners, awaiting almost certain death, remember how to live again under the spell of an aging demented old man - a knight most errant, Don Quixote. Don Miguel Cevantes (AKA Don Quixote) brings costumes and props to the dungeon, given that he is an actor, poet and a tax collector, and he finds that better part of his fellow men and women. In life we all play out many roles, hopefully, we will right some wrongs, be noble, be brave, have grand adventures and love with our whole hearts. Won't you join our quest?

The production runs at Alton Little Theater, 2450 North Henry in Alton, on May 12,13,16,17,18,19,and 20th at 7:30pm and May 14 and 21 at 2:00pm.
